Two weeks ago I took a trip to Kansas City to see my dear friends Adam and Melissa (and Brent!). Eating and drinking is usually the only thing on my travel itineraries, but this time my hosts sweetened the reunion with a Boulevard Brewery tour (Melissa worked her magic to by-pass the 4-month waiting list), a trip to the newfangled Power and Light district, and a night of bar-b-que. Oklahoma Joe's not only had the best bar-b-que I've ever ordered from a gas station, but it had some of the best bar-b-que I've ever had. Thanks, Adam and Melissa, for taking care of your old friend.
