Scenes from a Staycation

Sometimes you just need a new set of walls. A place where your stresses aren't piled up on the dining room table or sitting in your empty refrigerator. Brooke and I stayed a night at XV Beacon on Saturday and got an injection of happiness in our snow-covered, poorly-lit winter lives. Someone should have prescribed this to us long ago: 24 hours of towel-warmers, soft pillows, eco-unfriendly shower heads, an amazing meal, and season 3, disc 2 of Dexter. I don't even care it's snowing again right now. How do you like that?
