Channing Johnson is a trained photojournalist with a degree from a prestigious journalism school. After working as a newspaper staff photographer he began freelancing for prominent national publications. Today he documents weddings unobtrusively with a keen eye for the authentic moments.

Shea and Patrick

Shea and Patrick got married at Gibbett Hill in Groton. The rain drowned out everyone else's Fourth of July plans, but I couldn't tell if Shea or Patrick actually cared about the weather. They were just anxious to see each other and celebrate with all their friends and family. This wedding supported my theory that inhospitable weather outside makes people settle in and party that much harder inside. Great wedding. Great people. Congratulations, Shea and Patrick.
